IACC-NA plans to make this scholarship opportunity an annual event.
The scholarship application process is designed to make applying as easy as possible, while still creating a high standard of submissions. It’s open to full or part-time design students, undergrad or grad, with at least one semester of design study under their belt. Students select one of their already completed design projects and write a short essay about why they selected the colors that were used, including the rationale or reasoning behind the color choices.
The scholarship criteria for judging is based on the short written essay ONLY; the submitted design project is meant to offer a context for a student’s color choices. The IACC-NA judges look for knowledge and understanding of color and its application, and how the chosen colors would affect the user/viewer as it applies to the project subject.
Check back here for the next deadline, and sign up for our newsletters to learn about the next scholarship announcement.
IACC-NA and our education partner, AICCE, are THE go-to source in North America for designers to further their color understanding, application, training, and education.
