Sheri Peterson began her career in the interior design industry in the early 1990’s. Following the completion of an apprenticeship and a diploma of interior design, she was employed as a designer gaining experience on residential projects. She established her own company in 1995 and over the last 25 years the company has grown steadily to include commercial and hospitality work. She has continued to advance her education, with various industry accreditations. Sheri recently completed her education and thesis as an Architectural Colour Consultant with the International Association of Color Consultants/North America, where she is an associate member and Vice President on the board. She is dedicated to continued education on the art and science of colour for herself and her clients attending colour industry events yearly. Sheri’s projects begin with and are inspired by colour. She believes colour impacts us on all levels as it affects our behaviour and mood. This is why it is chosen precisely and with expertise. Her extensive experience and education have taught her that the correct colour choices can evoke a desired psychological response. Colours are chosen by first researching this desired psychological or physiological response, as well as studying the space’s natural settings, history, architecture, lighting, purpose, function, demographics and all other critical data. This comprehensive process enables Sheri to deliver enduring colour and design that will stand the test of time. This will then reduce negative impact on the environment by avoiding frequent and unnecessary redesign. She is committed to saving her clients time and money when choosing colour palettes and interior design aspects for their commercial, institutional, or residential projects Past commercial projects have included The Royal Victoria Yacht Club, The Parkside Hotel, The Victoria Regent Hotel, The Union Club of British Columbia, The Uplands Golf Club, The Chateau Victoria Hotel and Suites, Pacific Landing Developments, The Travelodge in Sidney BC, The Oak Bay Beach Hotel, The Accent Inns, countless professional’s offices, along with small restaurant and retail spaces. Residential Projects range from single room renovations, many high end kitchen and bathroom renovations, to new custom home construction both on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland of BC.
