ALISON SOUDER
ABOUT ME
I have had a passion for color and design for over 20 years. In Middle School my idea of fun was cutting out images from catalogs (Spiegel to be exact) of furniture, lamps and decor and then I would add in a wall color to design a room. I would constantly resort my own room as well to make it fresh and interesting. It has always been something that I love; something that continues to make my heart happy to this day. Upon graduating from Bowling Green State University, I got married to my high school sweetheart and we moved away from the home we knew to start a new adventure. There I started my first company in event and wedding planning and design where I collaborated with amazing and inspirational talent creating personal events that celebrated life moments. I also freelanced working in floral design and event design and management for various corporate clients in the area. I was offered such wonderful experiences and will always cherish those years. As all things have their moments in time, we wanted to be closer to family so decided to move back home. I joined an event and floral design company for two years where I decorated residences and designed weddings and events for clients, including The Ohio State University, Ohio Statehouse, Franklin Park Conservatory and private clients throughout the city. From there I took a break from the event design world and moved into retail, working at the Express home office and at Anthropologie where I was the Visual Manager of the Easton location. I also freelanced whenever time allowed as an Interior Design & Color Consultant for various residential clients throughout the area. In the midst of my professional life I became the proud mom of four which helped me to decide to move out of the "9-5" world and concentrate on my passion for color and interior design. My focus is to create spaces that are timeless and true to the needs of each family I work with. Practical living combined with optimal design aesthetics to create a warm and cozy space unique to each. By layering textures, color variations, scale and pattern, the space(s) will become a true reflection of you. I look forward to collaborating for some amazing results! Currently I am a Provisional Member of the International Association of Color Consultants, North America. Wishing you a happy day! Ali
